Every new API key starts with 25 free credits and up to 5 automatic live scans per day (indexed lookups uncapped; any pack removes the cap). No card, no verification click: POST an email, get a key. Credits never expire.
FAQ
- Do credits expire?
- No. Credits are prepaid and never expire. Packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions.
- What can the 25 free credits be used for?
- Everything — lookups, company profiles, and reverse lookup, all at 1 credit each. The free plan caps automatic live scans at 5 per day (indexed lookups are uncapped); buying any pack removes the cap.
- What happens if a live scan fails?
- Nothing is charged. If a lookup's live scan cannot locate a disclosure page or the target is unreachable, credits_used is 0. You only pay for lookups that complete.
- Why is the price flat?
- Because you shouldn't have to think about our cache before every call. Indexed entities answer in under a second; unindexed ones live-scan automatically (15–90s) at the same 1 credit. The only difference is latency — and every scan makes the next person's lookup instant.
- What's the free plan's live-scan allowance?
- 5 automatic live scans per day. Indexed lookups are uncapped on the free plan; exceeding the scan allowance returns 429 daily_scan_limit and resets at midnight UTC. Any credit pack removes the cap entirely.
- Can I pay by invoice or buy above the $250 pack?
- Yes — enterprise agreements include custom volume, invoicing with NET terms, SLA, and dedicated corpus scans. See the Enterprise page.
